User guide Sharing Your Card & Contacts

Your Founding Member badge

Everyone who creates a Deeta account between 28 September and 31 December 2026 gets a Founding Member badge. It's free and automatic, and it doesn't depend on your plan.

Where it shows

  • In My Deets, under your name.
  • On the card picture that goes out with your share links — the preview people see in Messages and other apps.

Your badge is numbered — Founding Member #312 means you were the 312th. Only you see the number. It appears in Settings → Badges; everyone else sees just Founding Member.

Hiding it

  1. Go to Settings → Badges.
  2. Turn off Show badge on my share card.

It stops appearing on new share cards and under your name in My Deets. Turn it back on any time.

Cards you've already shared won't change. A card picture is made when you share, so one that's already gone out keeps the badge it had.

Troubleshooting

I don't see Badges in Settings.\ That section only appears when you have a badge. The badge goes to accounts created between 28 September and 31 December 2026, so an account made earlier or later doesn't get one. Signing in with Apple, Google or email each makes its own account — check you're signed in with the one you made in that window.

"Couldn't load your badges. Please try again."\ Check your connection and open Settings again.

I turned it off, but a card I sent still shows it.\ That card was made before you turned it off. New shares won't carry it.

Questions

Does the badge do anything?\ No. It marks that you were here at the start; it doesn't unlock features.

Do I lose it if I change plans or cancel?\ No. It isn't tied to your plan.

Can people I share with see my number?\ No. The number is never shown publicly.
